Introducing Our Buffalo Chiropractors

Dr. Anthony P. Magnano

Dr. Anthony P. MagnanoAs a child, it was not pain in my neck or back that brought me to seek chiropractic care but, allergies and hay fever. My parents, were looking for alternative treatment, other than using traditional medicine which unfortunately had strong side effects. Other family members had experienced positive results from chiropractic treatment for similar conditions. Upon visiting my local chiropractic office, the Doctor of Chiropractic performed an examination, identified the problem, explained his findings and delivered a chiropractic adjustment. I noticed relief immediately.

I began my undergraduate pre-chiropractic studies at the State University College at Buffalo studying the basic sciences including chemistry, biology, basic anatomy and physiology, majoring in biology and chemistry. I then traveled to Davenport Iowa, to study chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic, the "Fountainhead of Chiropractic". While at Palmer College my course of study emphasized human anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, physical examination and diagnosis, x-ray and laboratory diagnosis and specific chiropractic adjusting techniques.

I entered the Palmer College Clinic which concentrated on the practical nature of patient healthcare, involving the diagnosis and treatment to families residing in the Quad City area. Upon completion of my clinic requirements, I served as clinic intern in x-ray and laboratory diagnosis at the Palmer Clinic.

Following graduation in 1980, I returned to Western New York to establish a private practice. Shortly thereafter,  I enrolled in a 3 year specialty program leading to a Chiropractic Orthopedist, through the National College of Chiropractic. This program had specialized training in examining, diagnosing and treating conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and their related nerve structures. I have enjoyed the practical benefit from the knowledge gained in this program incorporating procedures and techniques in my everyday practice. Professionally I have been a member and served on executive boards of numerous state and national organizations. I also have lectured and instructed at local and state educational seminars and functions. Additionally, I have consulted with local businesses on various topics including industrial and workplace injuries. Throughout the year I attend chiropractic and scientific conferences to remain current with the ever changing healthcare field and keeping up to date with today's "cutting edge" technology.

Although our practice is classified general family practice, we concentrate on musculoskeletal disorders, including neck pain and headache, back pain, sciatica, sports injuries and eliminating nerve interference, allowing our body to return to normal state of health and wellness. We pride ourselves on utilizing up-to-date, modern examination and diagnostic procedures, combined with our many years of experience to develop an individualized treatment program based on that clinical impression. We welcome and encourage your health related questions and offer answers in easy to understand "layman's terms". Our mission is to provide the finest Chiropractic care to families in West Seneca, Buffalo, and Western New York in a professional, comfortable and relaxed environment.

I am married and the father of three healthy children. My wife and my children receive regular chiropractic adjustments along with practicing a healthy chiropractic lifestyle which maintains their natural health. When I not in the office, I am involved in my children's school and extracurricular activities. Outside activities include golf, tennis, hunting, fishing and skiing. Otherwise, my time is spent volunteering for numerous community, club and parish activities.

Dr. Phillip E. Jones

Dr. Phillip JonesAfter having foot pain while working as an optician I had my first chiropractic adjustment right here in this very office and was surprised to find out that the source was actually coming from my low back!  In addition after my first few adjustments I began to notice that I was sleeping better because I didn’t toss and turn nearly as much and my sinus issues were actually clearing up!  As you can imagine I was definitely intrigued and have been receiving regular chiropractic adjustments which I attribute to my continued overall health and wellness.

While attending college for my pre-requisites for Optometry school I began to investigate the Chiropractic profession. Shortly after acceptance to Optometry school I decided to become a chiropractor, so I declined my acceptance in Optometry school and enrolled in the next available semester at New York Chiropractic College and began my Chiropractic education graduating in 2002.

Since graduation I have practiced in both Williamsville and West Seneca providing safe effective relief for patients with many different wellness issues such as migraines, carpal tunnel syndromes, neck, and back pain and sciatic pain. In addition I have a strong belief in a proactive chiropractic lifestyle which includes the aspects of proper nutrition, remaining active, proper rest and stretching which will contribute to optimal health and wellness.

In addition to the practice of Chiropractic I am an adjunct professor at a local college in the Biology department instructing students in the areas of Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Nutrition. I also do on-site workplace lectures for Child and Family Services in the area of Low back safety, Health, and Stress reduction.

When not working I stay active and am a Spinning instructor for the Buffalo Athletic Club.

Dr. Magnano Asks some important questions of interest to Buffalo residents - Chiropractor Buffalo Dr. Magnano Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
How do you "catch" a cold?
Simply lower your resistance by avoiding the proper rest and exercise, eating lots of sugar and junk food, putting up with emotional stress and neglecting your nervous system by avoiding your chiropractor. You won't have to catch a cold because it will catch you!
